Rate and Payment

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES AND PREFERRED PAYMENT?

Please note that my practice is currently full.

While I am unable to accept new clients at this time, feel free to reach out if you are interested in being waitlisted.

Sessions are one hour in length.

Sessions are $125.00 for all clients . This includes individuals, parents, children, and youth. Unfortunately I do not offer a sliding scale. If you require a specific arrangement for a payment plan we can discuss this.

Cash, personal cheques, and E-transfers are accepted. Unfortunately I am unable to accept debit/visa cards at this time. Payment is expected at the time of the appointment unless alternative arrangements are made in advance. 24 hour notice is required for canceled appointments or the full fee will be charged.

DO YOU BILL THIRD PARTIES?

Third party billing may be available for:

  • Eligible claimants under the Crime Victim Assistance Program.

  • First Nations Health Authority  Mental Wellness Programs.

  • Specific Ministry of Children and Families programs.

EXTENDED HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS:

Counselling fees for Registered Social Workers (RSW’s) qualify for reimbursement through select EAP/EFAP, Extended Health or Health Insurance Benefit Plans.

Please check with your provider for individual coverage requirements and rates.

CAN I CLAIM MY RECEIPT ON MY INCOME TAX?

Yes! This is one of the advantages of seeing a registered clinical social worker. Registered clinical social workers are recognized as ‘medical practitioners’ under the Income Tax Act. This means you may claim your counselling or your family member's counselling on your income tax return.

CONSENT FOR CHILDREN'S COUNSELLING

I require both parents/legal guardians to consent services unless sole custody has been awarded. I request that the parent requesting the services and attending with the child inform the other parent and provide our details. Children 12 years and older are able to make an informed decision and consent to counselling.
